Up until the end of 2015, Jibril Aku was involved in Ecobank Nigeria, until he stepped down from his position to join their parent company, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI). Aku was responsible for the banks Treasury & Financial Institutions and was involved in moving the bank up to the 6th biggest bank in the industry, compared to it’s previous position at number 13.

4) Olusegun Agbaje, GTBank

GTBank is said to be the biggest and most profitable bank in Nigeria, so it wouldn’t be surprising to know how much their CEO is getting paid. Agbaje and Tayo Aderinokun, who died in 2001, both founded GTBank back in 1990, and Agbaje still remains as a co-founder.

5) Jubril Adewale Tinubu, Oando Plc

Tinubu has won several awards for outstanding performance and has a record of long-time service at Oando Plc. His climb to the top of the corporate ladder is no surprise, and has resulted in Oando being hailed as Africa’s leading indigenous energy solutions provider.
