Sarah Johnson talks about her first two months at Better Placed.

So it was a shock to the system coming back to work after 12 months off where my only job was to keep a small human alive (I managed it!). However, I feel like I’ve worked here for two years, not two months, I’ve been made to feel so welcome and instantly part of the team.

I approached Better Placed because they’ve always had a great reputation in the Market and were a competitor of mine for the last 6 years – I’d bumped into one of the Directors Rachel before at an agency briefing or two, and I chose BPR over 3 other offers because I was so bought into the culture, the values and the four Directors I met. Joining the business to manage their Temp offering in the North was also an exciting and challenging opportunity I just couldn’t turn down!

It was quite a good time to join the business as everyone was in good Christmas spirits, I got to see everyone at their best at the Christmas party and it gave me time to get a plan together pre-Christmas. Post Christmas, it’s been a busy January so far, so I’m looking forward to capitalising on the market.

I’ve been excited about getting stuck back into work and back into where my heart lies in the world of temp digital/marketing recruitment – I’d been on the dark side of perm recruitment for the last 2.5 years!

I’ve made my first placement, so it feels good to get the elephant off my back, but the hard work starts now.

Looking forward to a great year ahead – we’re gunning for Team of the Year!
