Sanshiro Takagi of Cyberfight: Global expansion for DDT & WRESTLE UNIVERSE

Sanshiro Takagi, President of Cyberfight (which includes Pro Wrestling brands DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro, Ganbare Pro and streaming service WRESTLE UNIVERSE), recently spoke with Tokyo Sports ahead of DDT's 25th anniversary:

Takagi has a goal of increasing overseas subscriptions to WRESTLE UNIVERSE from 30% to 50%.

"This year, DDT will be fully conscious of overseas." Takagi wants to strengthen the company's relationship to AEW to help aid in its expansion.

Takagi set a vary ambitious plan in running a live event in the United States: "I'm thinking of doing it at a large venue like Madison Square Garden (MSG),"

To prepare his talents for opportunities abroad, he is focusing on English courses: "I'm thinking of letting everyone attend an English conversation class. It doesn't make sense if I can't speak English even if I go abroad. So, I won't use Japanese at all in DDT anymore. If I speak Japanese, I'll be fined".

While the plans are grand, CyberAgent is one of the biggest companies in the world with pro wrestling in its portfolio.
