Nicaragua, in Central America, has a wide range of gambling facilities, which include casinos, racinos, and poker facilities. The Barcelo Playa resort is perhaps one of the best in Central America, with three a la carte restaurants, three bars on the beach, a poolside snack bar, swimming pools, horseback riding, and many other activities for its guests. The Casino Montilimar has 107 gaming machines, as well as six table games of blackjack and Caribbean stud poker, a game that is played worldwide, but especially in Latin America and at resorts in the Caribbean.

Casino Fiesta, also in Managua, is a part of the Hotel Intercontinental Managua and has no gaming machines, but table games of blackjack, roulette, and baccarat are offered. Other smaller Nicaragua casinos are both in Managua: the Morocco, with 50 gaming machines and four table games, and the Red Palace, with 25 slots and 10 table games of blackjack and baccarat. There is also a Pharaohs Casino in Bluefields that has 69 slots and video poker machines, but no table games.

It's always advisable to respect and follow the gambling rules in Nicaragua casinos, as laws in Central America are different, and tourists should remember that they are indeed in a foreign country.
