Bosa Development broke ground on his newest condo project on the corner of Pacific and Broadway at the beginning of the year. The project expects to be completed around the middle of 2017. Project approved! The Centre City Development Corp. board unanimously approved the project design Wednesday. The projected size of the units range from 954 to 2,503 square feet with most in the 1,300- to 1,750-square-foot range and the starting price will be $750,000. UT San Diego story here.
The Center City Development Corporation (CCDC), is currently reviewing plans for a new Downtown Condominium High-Rise in San Diego’s Columbia District, on the corner of Pacific and Broadway called Santa Fe Depot – Parcel 9. Proposed by Bosa Development, the 41 story building will rise 440 feet and contain 232 units, and 3 levels of parking providing 273 spaces. A 3 story podium will line the south side of tower, containing large commercial spaces on the ground level, and residential units and amenity spaces on the floors above.
The design of the building is a unique oval shape with open ends. The architects, Kohn Pederson Fox, were inspired by the dynamic form of waves and the graceful geometry of seashells. The goal of the design was to create a sleek glass tower and still grant the much desired outdoor balcony spaces for all the units.
