Well, 2017 is drawing to a close and what a year it has been! From the weather to the White House it has been a wild ride! But, we are your resource for real Estate and our focus has been on tracking and reporting what you need to know to stay informed.
It will be another month before final numbers are tallied and statistics calculated, but it seems pretty clear to us that 2017 was a good year – not a great one – but it held on to momentum and will probably reflect about a 6% appreciation over 2016. Most of this gain was experienced in the first half but, that exuberance was really tempered by the beginning of July. The second half of the year could be categorized as more of a stall pattern. No great movement up or down.
However, on a personal note, we are proud to announce that Scott~Finn and Associates increased Sales Volume by 26%! Our total sales volume went from $43 million in 2016 to over $58 million in 2017! Since our goal was $60 million, we know we have to work that much harder in 2018 to achieve our goals, but isn’t that what life is about?
While numbers and statistics are fascinating and inspiring, we have not lost sight of the fact that real estate is not just about the numbers, it’s about the people we meet, the people we help and the friends we make along the way.
