FAMU selects UNM assistant as head women's basketball coach

FAMU, yesterday, introduced DeLand, FL, native
Bridgette Gordon as the 8th head women’s Basketball Coach in program history.  Gordon who, in June, joined the University of New Mexico as an Assistant coach/recruiting coordination, replaces Shalon Pillow who abruptly resigned last month.

During Pillow’s tenure, the Lady Rattlers compiled a 9-48 record in three years and two seasons of play.  The Rattlers lost one year due to COVID.

Gordon, whose first day on the job is August 14, says she plans to immediately begin work assembling a staff. Gordon says her teams will be strong and bring “pressure”, because she hates losing more than she likes winning.
