FAMU won a $20,000 grant from the 13th annual Home Depot Retool Your School program. FAMU came in 10th place in the large school category (cluster 1). Alabama State University won campus of the year and a $95,000 grant. The top ten schools with the most votes per cluster received grants ranging from $20,000 to $75,000.
