The Florida A&M University women's basketball team rode the momentum from a hot-shooting first half to a breezy 74-37 romp over visiting Lynn University in the Al Lawson Center Thursday night.
FAMU did most of its' first half damage in the second quarter, outscoring their guests, 22-5, after a first quarter which saw the Rattlers race out to a 17-4 lead, before Lynn pulled to within four points, 19-15 after 10 minutes of play.
Thursday's win was the second straight for FAMU (2-7), which shot a blistering 53 percent (16 of 30) from the floor overall and went five of nine from three-point range to pull away from Lynn (2-7) to take a 41-20 halftime lead.

The Rattlers' quickness forced the Fighting Knights into 30 turnovers, which coupled with their poor shooting (29.1 percent) led to the easy win for FAMU.
Junior guard Florence Ouattara led FAMU with 25 points, eight rebounds, a trio of three-pointers and three steals. Senior guard Dawn King added 14 points, going four of six from distance, while junior center Shalunda Burney Robinson added 10 points and eight rebounds. Shakeyrra Morrisonpulled down eight rebounds to go with her six points.
