Selective Solder Operator

Requirements:
Selective Solder Operator must be a team-oriented player and detailed-oriented worker. Must have mature work habits, good communication skills, and be considerate of others. Willingness to learn and knowledge of soldering process is a must. Previous knowledge on any type of machine is also a plus.

Job Skills:
Operator must have the ability to focus and retain consistent focus. This position requires some knowledge of computers, so this person must not be afraid to learn more and explore new skills. Good math skills and ability to ‘reason check’ calculations required. Also requires excellent reasoning skills, soldering knowledge, discipline and honesty. Operator must know limitations and raise a hand when help is needed.

Primary Function:
In support of the manufacturing operation, the Operator ensures that product flow is maintained through the Selective Solder Machine process. Monitors machine capacity to ensure that time is available to meet scheduler requirements/needs. Develops and documents the selective solder machine process to ensure uniformity across the product line. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Work Performed:
Operator runs the selective solder machine during second shift. Operator also communicates professionally with vendors, suppliers, existing customers, and prospective customers to ensure that the company’s programs and directions meet or exceed the customer’s needs. Provides technical knowledge regarding soldering issues to Lectronics Engineering & Management and possibly to customers (upon request). Develops a preventative maintenance program to ensure conformance to ISO requirements and IPC workmanship standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
