Requirements:

Operator must be an eager team player and detailed oriented worker.  Must have mature work habits, good communication skills, and be considerate of others.  Willingness to learn and knowledge of Surface Mount technology (SMT) process is a plus.   JIT/Lean manufacturing and Kaizen experience is also preferred.

Job Skills:

SMT Operator must be able to identify components and provide quality inspection throughout the processes.  IPC soldering skills are a must.  Must be able to work within a team as well as individually, with little supervision.

Primary Function:

SMT Operator is responsible for accurately populating printed circuit boards within the SMT department, per instructions given.  This position reports to the Surface mount leader and works closely with the stockroom.

Work Performed:

Daily activities include operating surface mount assembly equipment, loading the proper feeders to the machine, operating the reflow oven, and, most importantly, in line inspection.  Some manual PCB assembly is also required.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
