Our favorite venue located in the burbs? The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

Most people are familiar with the intriguing, beautifully-designed Smithsonian museums in DC, but did you know that the Air and Space Museum actually has a second center located in northern Virginia? The Udvar-Hazy Center resides at Washington Dulles International Airport in Fairfax County showcases huge exhibits in real hangars, including the Discoveryspace shuttle and Enola GayBoeing B-29!

Why do we love this unique venue so much? The two hangars – totaling almost 350,000 square feet combined – are both available for you to design your next grand event. Guests can sip cocktails, make new connections, and listen to the band play beneath full-sized aircraft. Your event could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for some.

When you add the lighting and table displays, it really is a sight to behold as you feel like you are floating in the sky alongside these powerful metal birds. Every time we shoot an event here, guests walk in amazed – the surprise and awe on their faces says it all.
