Photos are essential if you want to get buyers interested in a home. Every listing should have as many photos of the home as you have. But if you’re under a time constraint or you don’t have time to take a ton of photos of a home there are 5 essential photos that you should take. These 5 photos are the photos that matter the most to potential buyers. Whenever you put up a new listing make sure that you have at least these 5 photos in the listing: The Front Of The House Curb appeal is a big factor when buyers decide if they are interested in a home. A listing with no Photo of the front of the home or a bad photo of the front of the home isn’t going to attract buyers. Make sure that the photo is taken with a wide angle lens so that the whole front of the house is visible. The Kitchen The kitchen is probably the most important room in the house when it comes to attracting buyers. You should have multiple photos of the kitchen but if you’re only going to have one kitchen photo it should show the entire kitchen from the best vantage point. You might have to move around the kitchen a few times to get a shot that shows the kitchen and the adjoining space. That will help buyers get a sense of the kitchen layout within the rest of the house. The Master Bedroom Other bedrooms are important, but the master bedroom is one that you must show. Don’t forget to use a tripod and turn off the flash. Get as much natural light in the room as you can so it looks peaceful, serene and inviting. The Backyard The backyard or deck or patio area is very important to buyers. Seeing photos of the front and back of the house gives them a sense of what the property and the neighborhood are like. Make sure that the lawn is mowed and that bushes and trees are trimmed before photographing the yard. Buyers won’t be interested if it looks like a jungle. The Bathroom If the house has more than one bathroom you should have at least one photo of each bathroom. If the house has a master bathroom make sure that you show that photo next to the photo of the master bedroom so that buyers can see them together. In order to get a good picture of a cramped space you should set up a tripod in the hallway and use a wide angle lens to make the bathroom seem larger and more spacious. Clear all the clutter off the counters and make sure the bathroom is spotless when you photograph it.
