Lonavala is a hill station situated in between two metro cities of maharashtra-Pune & Mumbai.It is actually on the highway connecting both the cities,that’s why Lonavala is the most convenient hill station in Maharashtra.Both the Mumbai-Pune Expressway & Mumbai-Chennai highway pass through Lonavala. Lonavla Lake is about 2 km from the town.The lake is surrounded by scenic natural beauty.

  • Duke’s Nose

Duke’s Nose is stone cliff located at 12 km from Lonavala.The cliff is named so because of it’s resemblance with Duke of Wellington’s ample nose. Duke’s nose is clearly visible from the highway while driving towards Mumbai.

  • Tiger’s Leap

Tiger’s Leap is a stone cliff,also known as Tiger’s Point. It is a cliff-top with a sheer drop of over 650 m which looks very beautiful.

  • Bhushi Dam

A waterfall near the dam is the most popular spot in Lonavla. Buses going towards I.N.S. Shivaji, stop here.

  • Lion Point

Scenic point midway between Bhushi Dam and Aamby Valley .

  • Shooting Point

A beautiful point in the town of Khandala,from where you can have a magnificent view of the Rajmachi Fort and the valley.

  • Wax Museum

The ‘Celebrity Wax Museum’ is modelled on the famous Madame Tussaud in London. It is located near Varsoli railway station.

Lonavala is also home to Indian Navy’s Premier Technical Training Institute-INS Shivaji.
