Encryption, control, security… Jumble for MS Outlook

Jumble for MS Outlook

Version 3.1 of Jumble for Outlook has now been released, which means we have a lot of exciting new features and updates to share with you. Outlook is still one of the most popular Email clients used by businesses, and we support all versions from Outlook 2010 through to Outlook 2016.

Let’s have a look at what the development team have been up to in the latest release…

Full control over your sent emails with Revoke & Expire

Revoke an Email in MS Outlook:

Users now have the power to revoke an email at any time, giving you complete control over your sent items. So if you have sent an email to the wrong person, you can instantly revoke it by going into your sent items and clicking ‘Revoke Email’. It’s as simple as that! The email is instantly revoked meaning the recipient will no longer be able to open it.

Email Expiration in MS Outlook:

When composing an email in Outlook, you can now set an expiration date for your emails. Once the expiration date has been reached, the recipient will no longer be able to open your email.

If you have forgotten when a email is due to expire, then you can select the email in your Sent items, and it will display the expiry date there. Remember, even if you’ve set an expiry date, you can still revoke the email at anytime.

Help the recipient understand your email with Intros

Do you have a recipient who is not a Jumble user? Well in our latest version of Jumble, we have included a feature called Intros. This allows you to add a plain message to the top of your email, which can be used for several purposes. You could use it as a way of explaining to your recipient that the email is encrypted, or maybe as a way of adding a hint of the content? Maybe, adding that message will give your recipient peace of mind that the email has come from you directly.

Visual update notifications inside Outlook

Nobody wants to constantly be checking a website for updates to their favourite software. With Jumble 3.1, we will now automatically notify you inside Outlook if there is a new version of Jumble available. All you have to do is click the ‘Download’ button in the update bar, and the latest setup file will automatically download for you.

Stability & performance updates

Ever since version 1 of Jumble, we have strived to make sure the stability of the add-in is at its absolute best. Jumble runs perfectly inside of Outlook providing a very safe yet smooth experience for the user. When encrypted emails are selected, you will see just how quickly they open inside the window pane. Also, when sending an encrypted email you will notice the speed is exactly the same as sending a regular email – even if they contain attachments!

New In-App Tutorial System

If you don’t know where to start, or if you are struggling with any of the Jumble features, then we now offer an in-app tutorial system. The tutorials are done by way of a slideshow, which walks you through the process with clear steps and illustrations. We offer support on everything from getting started, all the way up to revoking an email.

Sending attachments with Jumble

Sending attachments with Jumble for Outlook has never been easier. You simply just attach files using the same methods as you would for a standard email. The only difference is you click ‘Secure Send’ rather than the standard send button. That’s one of the great things about Jumble, there is no learning curve. You can compose emails just as you did before!
