London, England--(Newsfile Corp. - April 13, 2022) - April 7th - 10th, saw the sale of artworks from highly acclaimed artist Refik Anadol created from space research data collected on the first all civilian space flight - Inspiration 4.

A total of $5.2 Million was raised from sales. $1.56M being donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital to support the stated mission of the Inspiration 4 crew, in addition to $750k to support research on future flights through Baylor College of Medicine and a further $250k to the Benge-Hury Foundation, supporting women and children's health and education.
The project was a collaboration between J.Harry Edmiston of //CreativeWorkStudios. and NASA-funded, Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH). Turkish-American Anadol, with the assistance of a custom model of Artificial Intelligence, utilized research data, combined with vehicle, audio/visual recordings and other datasets collected during the mission, as the basis for this series of limited edition non-fungible token (NFT) artworks.

As a partner of NASA's Human Research Program, TRISH funds research into the impact different conditions found in space have on astronauts. Its goal being to help reduce health risks so people can live longer in space and venture deeper into the universe, also helping provide information that can be used to develop solutions to common medical and human-performance issues on Earth.

30% of all NFT sales were donated to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, which has a particular focus on cancer. Inspiration 4 crew member Hayley Arceneaux is a childhood cancer survivor and is now a St Jude physician assistant.
"This important collaboration, funded by the Benge-Hury Family Foundation and the Baylor College of Medicine, is transforming space health research into inspirational and accessible art," said James Hury, TRISH's Deputy Director and Chief Innovation Officer.
