Removal of 3M™ VHB™ Tapes
3M VHB Tape is an industrial-strength bonding tape. It is designed and manufactured to create a permanent bond which is strong enough to replace traditional methods of fastening.
VHB™ Tape is resistant to UV and all other weather interference.
However, there are a variety of removal techniques that can be considered for detaching & cleaning the adhesive residue from the substrate surfaces.
To remove VHB™ Tapes…
1. Cut through the thickness of the tape with 3M™ Smart Tool or a sharp blade and disassemble the joint.
2. Alternatively, you can also remove recently applied tape by –
taking the tape up at one end, keeping it at a
very low angle and pulling away using a slow
& steady force.

To remove the adhesive residue…
Use 3M™ Industrial Cleaner or alternatively, use a 3M™ Stripe Off Wheel.
