How Prima, Emerging High As a Leading Dye Maker

Dating long back since Prima Chemicals was established in the year of 1976 by an honorable Mr. Kamlesh Modi, they have never turned back but to manufacture all the specialties for intermediates, pigments and sorts of dyes. With only a ton of production capacity a month in beginning, Prima Chemicals is now one of the biggest Pyrazolone manufacturers, making approximately 20 of its kind. We are happy to say that we now produce as much as 1400 tons capacity per annum. Market requirements of Pyrazolones are largely served by our two of the development sectors at Prima Chemicals and Polygon Chemicals.

Our journey does not stop here. We keep moving with our next manufacturing power with a spectrum of Solvent-based Metal-Complex Solvent Dyes – called Primasol Dyes; that they started in 2002 catering to many industrial applications such as wood coats, paints, printing inks, leather tops and many more. We also proclaim being one of the few Solvent Black 29 dye manufacturers within our Primasol Range in India.

Around 2003, our technical expertise led us to making the Polymer-based Solvent Dyes – called Primaplast Dyes used for masterbatches, engineering plastics and fibres. Seeing a big hike into our product demand (along with many varieties evolving with), we then launched another manufacturing unit, Prima Chemicals Unit – II; catering to the need of various solvent dyes.

Inspired by such an industrial requirement, our next approach settled on our specialized range of dyestuff through our manufacturing skills with liquid solvent dyes – called Primaliqe Liquid Dyes together with wood stains (mainly water-based).

Briefly Understanding the Products

• Pyrazolones (Intermediates): Are the raw materials for making pigments, dyes including acid dyes, solvent dyes, medicinal ingredients and many more
• Primasol Dyes (Metal Complex Solvent Dye): have better solubility in solvent; being variously applied to wood coatings, stationary inks, leather/Inkjet printing, metallized polyester coats etc.
• Primaplast Dyes (Polymer Solvable Dye): Used in masterbatches enhancing dynamic color shades and tones. Mainly applied on synthetic fibres and engineering plastics
• Primaliqe Dyes (Concentrated Anionic Dye): Used as a blend of solvent within metal complex dyes; leather products, wood stains, spray and drape coating are amongst their various applications
