This Vancouver Real Estate Market Update consists of Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver Sales & Listing Statistics for the month of May 2016. In addition to these details I have added my experience in he market this month by way of points of view relating to listings, sales & general market activity and sentiment.

Vancouver West Side Detached Housing Market:
The Housing market took a little breather over March but has began to pick up steam again into April/May. The lack of inventory has been an issue in this segment of the market as well which was the contributing factor to the sales slow down over March. At this point with the summer ahead I believe this increase will continue.

Vancouver West Side Condo Market:
Condo listings have held consistent numbers this past month but the available inventory is being brought to market at inflated prices as seller expectation is still at an all time high! As proof of this, you can see the drop in sales numbers during this same period. There is inventory to choose from but little priced reasonably.
