10+1 ways to be more productive- III

As the week comes to an end, so does our short Series. In today’s final article we will look at a few specific ways of body works and how we can make use of it.
If you missed the first two parts of the series, you can find them here and here.

1)    Sleep

A healthy amount of sleep per night is 7-8 hours. There is no denying this, even if you sleep 5-6 hours a day and feel fine, it does not mean it’s enough. There are countless benefits to getting the recommended amount of rest, so let’s name a few. A well-rested person will make better decisions. The brain is fresh, ready to work and won’t make as many hasty decisions as a sleep-deprived brain would. With enough sleep it is also easier to focus, you will recover from distractions faster and you will make fewer mistakes. Plus, who wouldn’t enjoy a little more time in bed.

2)    Figure out your productive times

Are you a night owl or an early bird? Whichever you might be, it is essential to figure this out as soon as possible in order to not lose precious time. If you know you function best in the early morning, go to bed early the night before, set your alarm for an appropriate time and be ready to work at your peak. Or, if you prefer to work late at night, make sure there are no distractions and hit the ground running in the evening or even at night. There is no way to say when exactly your productive time is, some experimentation might be therefore necessary. Once you establish when you are the most productive, don’t let the moment get away.

3)   Caffeine Naps

It might sound counterintuitive but give it a shot. You start by drinking a cup of coffee and then you go take a nap. Not a long one, 15 minutes will do as it takes 20 minutes for caffeine to take effect so by the time you get the work you will be refreshed, energized and ready to take on the next challenge.

And that’s it for today! We hope you found at least 1 way in our articles to get more into your work and that you got enough done to be ready to have a nice and relaxing weekend.
As always, we will be happy to see your comments below!
