Many Missouri drivers remain vigilant while they are on city streets. When they pull into a parking lot or Driveway, they tend to relax and believe the risk of being involved in a serious or fatal Accident is no longer an issue. However, head-on Collisions and T-bone collisions can happen in the most Unconventional Places.
At approximately 7:11 a.m. on a recent Monday morning, a Woman pulled into the driveway of one of the many Missouri locations of the restaurant chain Steak-N-Shake. As she waited, the driver of another Vehicle still on the roadway in front of the restaurant somehow lost control of it. The vehicle left the roadway, careened into the driveway of the Steak-N-Shake and crashed into the vehicle driven by the unsuspecting woman.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the 52-year-old woman was still alive and was rushed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the injuries she suffered in the accident were too severe. She died soon after she arrived at the hospital. The driver and passenger of the vehicle that hit her vehicle suffered injuries that were considered to be minor.
No information was given regarding whether criminal charges will be filed against the driver deemed responsible for this woman's Death. Regardless, her family retains the right to file a wrongful death claim, seeking restitution for the damages sustained as a result of the accident. If the evidence documents that the other driver's actions led to the death of their loved one, the court may award her surviving family members damages typically seen in T-bone collisions.
