We are on the verge of launching an outstanding new product – Tenantu, and we cannot contain our excitement. The whole team is working diligently to put the final touches and ensure TenantU is ready for it’s early release in March.

TenantU is an exclusive online platform for university students to see ratings and reviews of off-campus Rental properties. Apartment and rental searches can be a grueling, time-consuming, and inefficient task especially for people unfamiliar with the area or are from abroad. Although most people rely on online searches, there is limited-to-no service that focuses primarily on reviews by past tenants. TenantU hopes to become the go-to service provider for prospective college students property-hunting.

A great and reliable resource for obtaining pertinent information regarding an available property is the ratings and reviews provided by previous tenants. It is surprising then that rental websites do not emphasize and place reviews at the forefront of their sites. Other rental sites focus on attracting potential customers through visual depictions, photos, or interactive tours. Jacob Jefia, a senior at University of Delaware studying Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation (ENTI), came up with the concept of TenantU to solve this issue. TenantU’s differentiating factor is the reviews and recommendations; they are personal takes from someone who has previously lived in the property.

Jacob Jefia approached Offshorent to design and develop the platform. We took up it wholeheartedly and started the work six months ago. The technology we are using to build TenantU is LAMP. We are planning to launch it by early March.
