Life was different back then

Back in 1991, a loaf of bread cost 54 pence and a pint of milk 32p. Beer was £ 1.37 a pint and Tardis Environmental arrived on the scene in a much smaller form that it is today.

Our ops director Rob as one of the founders of the company, had a shuffle through his shoebox of memories and provided some pictures of the kind of vehicles the company began with and used throughout the 90s.

How we’ve grown

The company started out with 2 people and now employs over a hundred at 8 depots around the country.

There are no secrets to how we became the fastest growing Environmental company in the UK. Just sheer hard work and a mantra of putting the customer first.

We study our industry closely, anticipate and meet regulatory requirements including environmental, Health & Safety, water hygiene to name just three.

In 2015, the company split off water related service to a new division called Tardis H2O on site and rather like the distinctive Tardis vehicles, the tankers are easily spotted on Britain’s roads.

Both the company and the equipment it uses have come a long way in the 25 years of operation.  Today’s fleet is modern and well equipped to deal with the demanding tasks the environmental and bulk water industries demand.

Oddly, whilst the shape of vehicles may have changed over the quarter century, portable toilet design remains quite similar. Here’s to the next 25 years.
