After a slight delay, we’re operational.

We had a couple of administrative snags which prevented us opening when we actually would have liked to, but we’re cock a hoop to announce that Thursday May 3^rd, the carpets will be down and the curtains up in our brand new depot in Hull.

From our new location, we’ll be looking after much of the north east, with a full menu of Tardis Hire and Tardis H2O on site services.

A brief history of Tardis.

We arrived in 1991 a much smaller company then we are today and specialising in the hire of portable toilets to construction sites and event venues.

We had a couple of small tankers to service those units and all the work was done by members of the same family who still run the company today.

Fast forward 27 years and we now operate from depots around the country eleven in total including the fine city of Hull with a lot more than portable toilets, yet we still service over a thousand of those a week.

We’ve in excess of 150 employees now and more than a hundred commercial vehicles all equipped to FORS silver standard (which includes a high degree of on board road safety equipment.

Tardis Environmental were named last year as one of the Country’s top 1000 influential companies to inspire, by the London Stock Exchange Group, based on the rapid expansion of the company during it’s period of operation.

Service we provide in addition to portable toilet hire and service of same, now includes wet waste removal from waste tanks, servicing of welfare blocks and toilet blocks.  We also have tankers which carry clean water for hand washing and toilet flushing, so just request a water top up at the time you order your waste service.

We operate on construction sites, quarries, port authorities and even film locations and as well as mixing with the great and glorious, we visit the homes of “ornery folk” and perform septic tank empties, deliver toilets for small building projects such as bathrooms at home that will be out of service for a while.

We’ve individual portable showers to help people maintain a level of normality in life disrupted by building work and we’ve toilets with hot water on tap for those who prefer comforts similar to home.

We mentioned events.

Glastonbury springs to mind, though not this year as they’re having a fallow year.

We deliver there, but they won’t let us play on the pyramid stage… Yet today’s events and festivals aren’t just about portable toilets.

We’ve hand wash stations, drinking water dispensers, luxury shower and toilet trailers.

Rest assured, when you’re catering for a few hundred of even a thousand people attending an event, there’s nothing like good advice and that comes as part of the package when you enquire, as we’ve been helping organisers plan happy successful events for a long time.

And then there’s Tardis H2O.

The company has a separate division which takes care of water for every need.

Event water

On the event side, it can be pallets of bottled drinking water, the quick fix for thirsty people.

We provide not only the water for bulk requirements, but we’ve a variety of vessels to store it in and there’s more expert advice available on water storage, especially if people are going to drink it.

In addition to advice on water storage, we’ve also Water Hygienists, who can perform a variety of tests on water based on your need. For example there’s a different set of tests you’d perform on a static tank that you would on a well or swimming pool.

Bulk water.

Bulk water is classed as anything from 1000 litres which you can store in an IBC or towable bowser, via the static tanks of varying capacities from 5000 litres upwards. Tankers start at 16,000 litres capacity and go up to 30,000 litres delivered by articulated lorry.

Construction water.

Construction often will hire a tanker trailer for example, and we come along and top it up as and when needed.
