These Adorable Easter Pudding Cups Are A Fun Play On Childhood “Dirt Cups” And Are Sure To Please During Your Holiday Festivities

When you host an Easter gathering, you often have a lot of things to juggle and get done.

Unless you’re having your party catered, you have to worry about serving all kinds of fun and festive Easter food and drinks, decorations, and, of course, setting up an Easter egg hunt.

Easter is one of those holidays that can be overwhelming to host, so if you can find little ways to save time regarding preparation, that’s for the best.

Thankfully, one TikTok creator has shared an adorable Easter dessert recipe that’s just as adorable as it is easy to make. Do you remember eating Pudding ‘dirt’ cups as a kid that contained yummy chocolate pudding, crushed-up Oreo ‘dirt,’ and candy on top?

Well, food content creator and blogger Dee (@meatloafandmelodrama) has shared her recipe for Easter Pudding Cups, which are just like dirt cups but Easter-themed! They’re easy to make and will look lovely with your festive spread.

Here’s how to make them!

Easter Pudding Cups

Ingredients:

  • 2 3.9-ounce boxes of instant chocolate pudding
  • 4 cups milk
  • 8 ounces thawed Cool Whip
  • 25 Oreo cookies (crushed)
  • 10 bunny Peeps
  • 1 package of mini chocolate eggs
  • Colorful sprinkles (optional)

Equipment:

  • Small plastic cups
  • Toothpicks

To make your pudding cups, you’ll want to start by creating your pudding base. Following the directions on your instant pudding package, whisk the pudding mix and milk together in a large bowl. Next, fold in your Cool Whip until you’re left with a delightful, fluffy, chocolatey pudding mixture.

Now it’s time to assemble your pudding cups using your ingredients! Add a sprinkle of the crushed Oreos to the bottom of 10 small plastic cups, followed by a scoop of the pudding mixture.

Top each cup with more crushed Oreos to create “dirt.” Add two to three candy eggs and a few sprinkles to make your pudding cup extra festive.

You can’t have a fun Easter scene without an Easter bunny! Complete your cups by inserting a toothpick in the bottom of a bunny Peep and prop it up on top of your pudding cup.

There you have it! Everything you need to make adorable Easter pudding cups that will please guests of any age. Enjoy!
