She Asked Her Fiancé To Make Dinner, And He Made Himself An Elaborate Meal, Yet Made Her Microwaved Food

This 24-year-old girl is engaged to her 23-year-old fiancé, and she’s usually in charge of making them Dinner.

She works three different jobs, and every Monday and Wednesday, she does not come home until 9 in the evening.

On the nights she does get home on the early side, she usually cooks dinner for the two of them, or she will grab takeout.

Her fiancé works one job and makes excellent money, and he also goes to school full-time online, and he never gets home later than 5 p.m.

So, on nights when she knows she’s going to be late at work, she asks him to handle dinner. Last night, she asked him around 5 p.m. to please make dinner for them since she would not be home.

Her fiancé mentioned that he had a really long day, but she said he didn’t have to make anything fancy, and she would be fine with anything he whipped up.

“Well, when I got home, he had made himself steak and sautéed vegetables because he wanted to use the new grill he bought,” she explained.

“He made me a can of Campbell’s soup and microwaved chicken nuggets. I know I said I would be fine with anything, but I just feel like he doesn’t really think about me.”

“I’m thankful that he still made me dinner, but it just upsets me that he made this nice meal for only himself even though there was enough stuff in the fridge to make both of us a plate, but he only made enough for just himself.”

Her fiancé frequently does this, and she doesn’t like it. Any time she asks him to deal with dinner, he gets himself takeout, or he makes himself something elaborate, but he makes her Microwaved Food, and that’s it.

She’s left wondering if she has a right to be so upset about the unequal treatment at dinner time.
