This 33-year-old woman’s Husband, 28, constantly reads her Diary, even though she never told him that he could.

Despite her asking him to stop, he doesn’t listen and continues to disrespect her boundaries.

Since she was a child, she has always loved journaling. In her view, it’s a wonderful tool that she can utilize in order to find happiness and feel healthy. Obviously, she cherishes this time and writes private thoughts she wouldn’t want to share with others.

“Our marriage is okay, but I was debating whether to divorce him. I love him, but I didn’t think he loved me in turn. He was beautiful, charismatic, funny, and intelligent, but he could also be arrogant and dismissive, and I think he’s in love with his best friend,” she said.

Several months ago, she had a stay in the hospital. While she was hospitalized, her husband invaded her privacy and read through her diaries.

For a while, she wasn’t aware that he’d done so.

However, her husband suddenly started expressing more affection toward her than he ever had in the past.

“One of my friends came up to me a few days ago and said she thinks he read my diary because he knew things that she knew I would never have told him,” she explained.

When she confronted her husband about it, he shrugged his shoulders and admitted that he’d been reading her diary, and she told him that she wanted him to stop.

No matter how uncomfortable it makes her, he hasn’t stopped reading her diary, and obviously, this is deeply upsetting for her.

After expressing her feelings, her husband told her that she shouldn’t let it bother her. His reasoning was that despite being aware of him reading her diary, she continued writing in it.

She consulted advice from her friends, and while they agreed that her diary is something she expects no one to read, they believed that since she was still writing in it while knowing her husband would read it, she was essentially permitting him to continue reading it.

In order to avoid her husband reading her diary, she attempted to hide it in a different spot, but he searched until he found it and mocked her. It makes her feel belittled, embarrassed, and like a little kid.

“He knows that I need my diary as it helps me function. I was nonverbal as a child and struggled with selective mutism as a teenager. He finds it amusing that I can’t force him to stop reading it,” she shared.

She added that her husband is the type of person who people like, but he’s not someone who’s easy to love.

In his view, most people are incapable of loving him, and he said he thought she was the same way.

Throughout their marriage, she has done her best to show her love for him, but he doesn’t think it’s genuine.

While she was in the hospital, her husband apparently took this opportunity to read her diary to see her true thoughts and feelings about him and whether or not she really loved him.

Within her diary were affirmations of her love for her husband, and he acknowledged that it didn’t make sense that she would write lies in her own diary.

Reading her journal entries during her stay in the hospital made him feel more assured that she truly loved him, and this was why he became more outwardly affectionate.

He told her that her diary was “cute.”
