This 28-year-old woman has been dating her 31-year-old Boyfriend for a couple of months so far, and she thought everything was going wonderfully.
That all changed yesterday when she came across the contents of her boyfriend’s nightstand Drawer.
Inside, there were women’s underwear and also some socks too that clearly didn’t belong to him either.
When she opened up the nightstand and made that discovery, she instantly closed the drawer and just stood there for a bit, confused.
She has been in prior relationships that involved cheating, so her mind quickly jumped to that being the reason behind the unexpected underwear.
When she got her thoughts together, she walked to the living room and found her boyfriend sitting on the couch.
He looked up at her and asked her what was going on, as he could tell that she was visibly upset about something.
“I was so angry and hurt that I immediately began to cry,” she explained. “I asked him about the drawer, and he said his Cousin sometimes comes over and showers, and she leaves clothes here for her to change into.”
“He said he told her to find an empty drawer for all her clothes. Eyes full of tears, I said that his cousin has a drawer full of panties…”

One was red and lacey, which only made her more upset. She then questioned her boyfriend about how that could be normal, housing his cousin’s underwear in the drawer of his nightstand.
Her boyfriend responded that he had let his cousin pick a drawer in his room to put her things in, and he didn’t know she had put her underwear where she did.
Her boyfriend then pointed out that he has never hidden his cousin’s things, and it’s true, her stuff is all over his house.
His cousin has soap, shampoo, and conditioner in his bathroom, and it never occurred to her that it belonged to his cousin since she figured he could be using them too. She just thinks the drawer of underwear is nothing but suspicious.
“He then began to get really defensive and started to raise his voice at me,” she said. “When I tried to tell him how I felt and how weird it was to me, he just kept talking over me, saying it wasn’t a big issue.”
“My heart [dropped], and I was starting to have an anxiety attack. I got up and told him I was going home and left. Now he’s mad at me, saying he doesn’t want to be with me if I’m going to get up and walk away when there are issues, and he isn’t the type to chase.”
“I tried to explain to him that when I tried to talk to him about how I felt, he didn’t allow me to speak and instead added to my anxiety.”
She’s not sure what to do or where to go from here. What advice do you have for her? Do you think this can be easily resolved by talking to her boyfriend’s cousin directly?
