This 22-year-old woman found out last week that her entire family has been helping her 23-year-old fiancé, Alex, hide the affair that he’s been having with her best friend, Peach.

She and her fiancé Alex have been dating on and off since the 8th grade, but then they got together seriously three years ago.

As for how she found out that she was hardly the only woman in Alex’s life? Well, one day last week, Alex hopped in the shower and left his phone lying on their bed.

She and Alex have always kept their phones open for the other person to take a look at, as they were cheated on in precious relationships.

“I was packing my suitcase for a family trip that is happening after my rehearsal dinner tomorrow,” she explained.

“I heard his phone keep going off. He yelled from our shower if I could mute his phone. I went to get his phone and saw that it was Peach calling him.”

“I was curious at first, but seeing as she’s part of my bridal party, I didn’t find it too suspicious. I muted the phone and soon messaged Peach from my own phone.”

She sent Peach a text saying Alex was in the shower before asking what she needed. Peach typed back that it wasn’t a big deal; she was just looking to confirm with Alex the flowers they were going to have on the aisle for their wedding, along with her flowers for her bouquet.

She texted Peach back, mentioning it was strange since she did not change her mind about any of the wedding flowers.

She also told Peach that they spoke to the florist a month ago and that her mom’s husband had already paid for everything.

Peach questioned her about whether she was sure she did not make changes to her flowers since Alex had told her she did want something different than originally agreed upon.

Looking back, she knows she should have found this entire exchange strange because why would Peach call Alex six times in a row just to talk about flowers when the matter could have been settled with one simple text to either her or Alex?

After Alex came out of the shower, she let him know that Peach had called him several times to talk about her wedding flowers before asking Alex why he thought she wanted to make changes.

Alex honestly couldn’t answer her right away, though she had no clue at the time that he was stalling and attempting to find an excuse.

Alex eventually blurted out that he just thought she brought up one night at dinner, but she never had, and she kept saying that to Alex.

Alex just picked up his phone, shrugged his shoulders, and went back into the bathroom. It was then that her stomach began to sink.

“I got this really paranoid feeling, and I couldn’t shake it,” she said. “I tried to convince myself that it was just my old cheating trauma trying to creep back. Yet, I just couldn’t let this go.”

“Me and Alex had dinner, and I pushed through all the way until it was time to go to bed. I pretended to fall asleep first. Me and Alex usually cuddle to fall asleep. When I knew he was in a deep enough sleep, I went to check his phone again.”

She looked through every social media account Alex had on his phone, and she could not uncover a single thing to indicate that he was cheating on her with Peach.

She then logged into his Facebook Messenger, which he uses to talk to his family members who live in another country.

She saw Alex messaging his family about flights for the wedding, which is supposed to be happening in December. She and Alex planned for a winter wonderland-style wedding, by the way.

She then checked the archived messages, and that is when she saw all of the evidence that Alex and Peach were having an affair behind her back.

Not only that, but there was a group text involving Alex, Peach, Richard (her half-brother), Angie (her mom), and Maria ( her half-sister).

“The group chat was established a year ago where basically Alex and Peach confessed to having an affair to my family,” she continued.

“My mom did shame them at first. Yet, she later asked Alex did he truly loved Peach. “Because you can’t help who you love.” (Yeah, really great, Mom. That was SUPER helpful). He said he was absolutely sure and that he also loved me too…Then Maria and Richard offered that he (being Alex) bring up to me an open relationship.”

“They both are in open relationships and married and apparently, it’s working for them in whatever Lala land they live in. At this point, he and I were already engaged. Alex mentioned to them that it seemed too far deep to try to bring it up.”

Then her mom, Angie, chimed in to say that she would help cover up for Peach and Alex until he was up to telling her about an open relationship.

As she kept on going through these messages, she just could not believe her family could stab her right in the back like that.

She also couldn’t understand how Peach could backstab her either, since they have been best friends since Kindergarten, and they both grew up being friends with Alex.

“How could she process in her mind to [sleep with] my fiancé and say that she loves him too? All of this in this disgusting group chat? For Alex to have the nerve to say he loves me as well? For him to know firsthand what it’s like to be betrayed like this. I honestly wanted to vomit.”

“However, I was just taking screenshot after screenshot. The more I read down, I found out that Peach “took my spot” on our previous family trip. I got a really bad stomach bug a while ago that caused me not to go. I can’t even begin to imagine what they did on the trip.”

“And the fact my mother was okay with all of this, I think, is what hurts the most. The fact she’s known for a whole year…that my fiancé was cheating on me. That’s taking the longest to sit in, I feel.”

There was a heck of a lot more than she bargained for in the group chat, but that sums up the worst of it.

It’s been a week since she found all the messages, and it is eating her alive to sit there and say nothing to anyone about being in the know.

She wants to flip out, freak out, explode on her loved ones, and ruin all of their lives just like they ruined hers.

“It all hurts so…much, and I just really want advice on how to confront them,” she concluded. “How do I even begin? What do I even say?”

“The anger I feel is so intense that I feel like if I just let it all out, I would just look insane…I’m planning on confronting them tomorrow at our rehearsal dinner.”
