She Just Flew To Hawaii To Get Married To Her Fiancé, But After He Disrespected Her Mom, She Called Off The Wedding

This 31-year-old woman started dating her 29-year-old fiancé in June of 2022, and they got engaged in April of this year.

They just flew to Hawaii to get married, and they were going to have a small ceremony that included his parents, her parents, her Sister, her sister’s boyfriend, and her best friend.

She says that the majority of the time, her fiancé has a calm and polite demeanor. He always opens the car door for her, and he shows a lot of affection by kissing her every single morning and night.

He’s loyal, he’s honest, and he’s a real gentleman. Unfortunately, he does have a darker side to him, and it comes out when they fight.

When they do get into an argument, he insults her, calls her a know it all, a psycho, and fake. He also accuses her of not caring about him or their relationship.

Yesterday was their very first day in Hawaii to celebrate their wedding, but sadly, her fiancé displayed some poor behavior twice in front of all their loved ones.

He acted rude and out of line, and this happened while they were all eating together. After leaving and heading out to the car, she asked him as nicely as possible to please calm down before adding that his behavior was making her uncomfortable.

“…He started yelling at me, saying I’m dramatic and overreacting because that’s his personality,” she explained.

“A couple people from the resort asked me if I was ok after they saw the whole scene. Because, by the way, he doesn’t care about making scenes anywhere we are. He will yell and raise his voice whenever we are in public, any time we get into an argument.”

“Anyways, that went away, and he apologized to my sister’s boyfriend and told him that’s usually how he speaks to all of his friends.”

Later on, they headed to the beach with her family while his parents took a trip to the grocery store.

They had not checked into their rooms yet, since nothing was ready, but they spent about an hour at the beach before her boyfriend said he wanted to leave.

Her boyfriend got completely stressed out and kept insisting that he wanted to go to their room already so they could all change and head downtown to hang out.

He also wanted everyone to go along with his plan, and he started getting pushier before he began yelling in front of everyone.

He made all of them leave the beach, check into their rooms, and get ready to go downtown. When she was alone with her fiancé, she informed him that he had been super rude and needed to say sorry to her family.

She spent a significant amount of time getting him to see that his behavior was not alright at the beach, and he then agreed to text her sister and her sister’s boyfriend an apology, however, he blamed it on the fact that this is a difficult time of year for him because it’s close to his birthday, which makes him think of his little sister that he lost six years ago.

Her boyfriend routinely acts atrociously and then blames his behavior on the loss of his little sister, so this is hardly the first time that she has witnessed this.

They then got into the car with her mom, and he said he would like to apologize to her, but right after he did, he once again brought up how he wishes he never lost his little sister and wanted her to be there for important things like his wedding day.

Her mom accepted his apology but tried to give him some advice: that he can’t use his sister as a crutch for acting terribly, and it’s not really respecting her memory to behave like that.

Well, her fiancé flipped out on her mom and started yelling at her that she knows nothing about him or his late sister, and he can feel however he wants to feel. He also started insulting her while he went on his tirade.

He was so disrespectful to her mom that her mom ended up exiting the car. In the aftermath of the blowup, she tried to make her fiancé understand how wrong he was, and she then called her mom.

Her mom was crying on the phone and saying she wouldn’t accept an apology from her fiancé because he took things too far this time.

“My wedding is supposed to be in two days here in Hawaii (we all flew here for the wedding purpose), and my mom was supposed to give us the rings,” she said.

“This morning, she texted me saying that she loves [me] and I can do whatever I decide to do, but she won’t give me the rings and won’t accept his apologies, and if I do marry him, she will stand there just to support me but after that when we go back home, she won’t be close to him and will try to avoid talking to him from now on because her perspective of him has changed completely.”

After wondering if she should really follow through with the wedding, she decided to permanently call it off. Her fiancé’s mom surprisingly understood where she was coming from and respected the fact that she no longer wants to walk down the aisle.

Her mom is relieved she made this choice, as are all of her loved ones. Although she’s sad and crying about it, she is going to try her best to enjoy the rest of her time in Hawaii with her family.

Do you think she made the right choice?
