She Thinks Something Spooky In Her Home Is Impersonating Her Husband

Three years ago, this woman and her Husband moved into a new house. About six months after moving in, something spooky happened.

The house had a mostly open floor plan. You walked down the hallway to get to the front of the house, where you’d also find the kitchen and Living room space. While standing in the kitchen, a wall blocked part of the living room from view.

One day, she was making dinner, and her dog was lying on the ground by her feet, anticipating food to drop on the ground.

Then, her Husband Walked through the hallway, turned the corner, and went into the living room. Her dog got up and went to greet her husband, and from the kitchen, she started telling her husband about some drama that was happening at work while she continued cooking.

“I was basically droning on for a bit with no response from my husband for several minutes. When I put the food into the oven to cook, I went to the living room, planning to sit down with him and wait,” she said.

“Except when I stepped around the wall, he wasn’t there. Our dog was on the couch alone. A second later, I heard the basement door.”

“It’s a NOISY door, so there’s no way he got up and went down while I was talking to ‘him.’ Also, it would have been impossible for me not to see him go since he would have had to walk back through the kitchen to go literally anywhere else in the house.”

Her husband walked into the living room, and she asked him if he’d been in the living room just a minute prior.

“He looked genuinely confused and said he had been playing video games in the basement for over an hour,” she explained.

She told him that she’d thought he had walked from the hallway to the living room and had been talking to him, and they were both freaked out.

But they tried to brush it off and think of it as a weird situation that they could tell their friends who’d come to hang out.

After that, she and her husband didn’t experience anything out of the ordinary for two years. But that changed six months ago.

During the night, she often jolts awake in the middle of her dreams, suddenly wide awake.

On one occasion, when this happened, she could tell that it was extremely early in the morning. It was so early that it was still dark outside.

“We have two dogs now, and they sleep in the corner of our bedroom. My back was to them, and I heard my husband’s voice, clear as day, unmistakable, in a very quiet whisper, praising the dogs,” she shared.

“He was saying things like, ‘You’re such good boys,’ and ‘I love you so much.’ This is 100% in character for him, so I didn’t think much of it.”

“I just rolled over toward the sound, about to tell him I thought he was sweet. But when I rolled over, he wasn’t there. He wasn’t in the bedroom at all.”

She realized then that it was just her and the dogs lying in bed. In the dark, it was difficult to tell if the dogs were asleep, but she knew for sure that they were quiet and lying still.

At this point, she believes that some sort of supernatural being is “impersonating” her husband. It terrifies her, but she’s noticed that the dogs don’t seem to be scared in any way.

So far, this unknown paranormal entity hasn’t done anything sinister, but she is still understandably concerned about these experiences.
