She Invented The 180-6 Challenge, Which Is All About Finding Success In Your Life

The summer is officially coming to an end. I’m bummed about it, as I felt like the summer flew by.

However, there are some people out there who are ready for the fall and changes that come with the new season.

Summer is often filled with indulgence, including eating lots of summertime food, having lots of nights out, vacationing, lying around, etc. When September rolls around, many people like to see it as an opportunity for a lifestyle reset.

If you’re looking for a way to change some of your habits and lifestyle choices, perhaps it’s time to try the 180-6 Challenge, invented by TikTok creator Aysha Gonzalez (@ayshagonzalez).
Aysha created this lifestyle reset challenge as a way to achieve a positive mental and physical or ‘do a 180’ in six months.

Aysha’s 180-6 challenge involves eight rules that participants must follow in order to find success, and she explained these rules in-depth in a recent TikTok video.

The first rule is all about having confidence.

“You are number one, so look and act like it,” says Aysha.

“You have one person to impress, and that is you. Wake up every morning and impress yourself.”

The first rule of the challenge encourages you to remember that you should only be making this transformation to please yourself, not anyone else.

The second rule of the challenge is to practice a solid, grounding morning routine every day. Aysha recommends ditching your phone and any distractions at the start of your day and filling your morning routine with intention. You can do this by taking time in the morning to plan your day and focus on what you need to do.

The third rule is to carve out special ‘healing time’ during your week. This means you need to do some kind of healing and spiritually enriching practice for at least thirty minutes three times a week.

This can come in all different forms but should stem from something you need to heal from.

“Three times a week, set time aside where you can go to therapy, meditate, pray, read mental health books, journal, do shadow work, [or] spend time alone with your emotions,” says Aysha.

For instance, if you’re trying to heal from a breakup, read a great self-help book about breakups for thirty minutes or speak with your therapist or counselor.

“This is a time for you and you alone to heal your wounds,” adds Aysha.

The fourth rule is all about hobbies and passions. Aysha instructs participants to choose four of their favorite hobbies and activities and incorporate them throughout the week.

If you love activities like bike riding, drawing, playing an instrument, or playing sports, find time to make those things happen each week.

Rule #5 focuses on the more health-driven parts of the challenge. The rule states you need to go to the gym or exercise five days a week and eat five raw, nutritious foods throughout the day. Aysha encourages 180-6 challenge participants to cut out processed and fast food as much as possible during the six months to truly develop a healthier lifestyle.

The sixth rule is to focus on getting in a good place financially. Start budgeting and getting your finances to the point where it’s as if you were looking to have six figures in your bank account. Start putting more money into your savings, and if you have a stable income, consider improving your retirement plan.

The seventh rule involves seven hours of your week, which Aysha says you should spend focusing on your career. If you’ve been putting your dream career “on the back burner,” as Aysha says, start prioritizing it and spend at least one hour a day working towards that dream job, whether it be by studying, working on your resume, job hunting, etc.

Finally, rule eight states that you need at least eight hours of sleep each night. Additionally, before bed, you should document how every day of trying to follow the challenge went. You can record a voice memo or video about your day or quickly jot down a few reflections in a journal.

“Make sure you’re keeping track of your progress,” says Aysha.

So, what do you think of the 180-6 challenge? Would you be willing to try it?
