This man is currently married, and in the past, his mother-in-law had always lived about four hours away from him and his wife’s home city.

Just last year, though, his mother-in-law decided to sell her house and move closer to family. And as of this past month, she recently closed on a new property pretty close to his home.

So, on the day his mother-in-law was moving out, his wife stayed back to oversee some work being done on the new property. At the same time, he and his daughter– who is six– traveled down to his mother-in-law’s house to help her move out.

Now, according to him, his mother-in-law is the kind of woman who “exalts males on a glorified pedestal.” So, over the years, she has reportedly made countless inappropriate comments about his appearance and his body build and has even asked some really personal questions.

Eventually, his mother-in-law’s mouth also got her into serious trouble with his family.

By the time he actually arrived at his mother-in-law’s house on move-out day, though, he recalled how she appeared to be minding her manners. Well, at first.

His mother-in-law’s remarks started out a bit inappropriate afterward– beginning with a comment directed toward his daughter.

“She made a comment to my daughter along the lines of when she gets older, she should marry a man just like her father,” he said.

But then, later that night, a massive argument broke out. And it all began during dinner.

Apparently, after they sat down for the meal, his daughter did not eat her dinner because she had a stomach ache.

Rather than his mother-in-law being understanding, though, she actually just demanded that his daughter help clean up the kitchen– with her reasoning being that he deserved to sit back and relax.

He just did not understand that at all, though, and asked why his daughter should have to clean anything up if she did not eat and was not feeling well.

Anyway, after that evening, things only got worse from there. The following morning, his daughter slept in a little bit– which reportedly really irritated his mother-in-law.

Then, his mother-in-law even had the nerve to claim that his wife was lazy, and that was where his daughter “gets it from.”

And as you can imagine, that really upset him, considering all of the hard work his wife had been doing to help his mother-in-law with the new house.

Still, the comments only continued from there. For instance, while he was outside and his mother-in-law went to put socks on his daughter, she said, “Don’t ever get fat like your mother.”

“I didn’t even know about that comment until the next day,” he revealed.

Finally, while everyone was packing boxes, he actually overheard his mother-in-law trying to tell his daughter that his wife had tried to terminate the pregnancy.

Now, for the record, he claims that was not true at all. In fact, it was actually his mother-in-law who had “hounded” his wife to terminate the pregnancy– because apparently, she claimed that his wife would “blow up even bigger.”

His daughter is only six-years-old, though, so all she knows is that terminations either mean a mother does not want a baby or cannot have one.

So, as you can imagine, his daughter was really hurt and upset.

And at that moment, his first instinct was to get his child as far away from that environment as he could.

He ended up taking his daughter to get lunch before heading to the beach to get the incident off her mind. And while there, he attempted to explain the situation.

“I promised her what her grandmother had said was not true. I called my wife, and she and our child spoke for a while,” he recalled.

But, while his wife and daughter were on the phone, he heard about the “not getting fat like your mother” comment for the first time. And afterward, he was completely done.

As soon as he got back to his mother-in-law’s house, he gathered his and his daughter’s belongings before they left.

Right outside the house, though, there were several large boxes and pieces of furniture that he was supposed to help move.

So, after he left, his mother-in-law attempted to hire a moving company to get the belongings inside, but no one was available.

This meant that when it rained that night, absolutely everything was ruined. And now, he is being blamed for it all.

Apparently, his brother-in-law called him a total jerk for letting all of the furniture get destroyed and even accused him of elder abuse. Plus, one week later, he received a handwritten bill requesting a whopping $4,000 for all of the damages.

His mother-in-law also included a note with the bill and detailed how “saddened” she was to find out that his wife had “brainwashed and demasculinized” him.

After receiving that, he seemingly ignored the bill altogether, though. So, just this past week, he received one more handwritten letter– which stated that if he did not pay for the damages, he would be sued.

And now, with so much family drama and the threat of being sued, he has been left wondering whether leaving his mother-in-law’s house and letting her belongings sit outside overnight really makes him the bad guy or not.
