This woman is currently married, and she and her Husband have one son who is 3 and a half years old. She also has a Nephew who is the same age.

And recently, she, her husband, and her son went out with her in-laws and nephew. Everything had been going well, too, until her nephew spotted a Toy Car that her son had been holding in his hand.

For context, her son is extremely talented in identifying automobiles. In fact, he can name every single car he spots on the road despite still not being able to read or write yet.

She thinks this is an amazing ability, and she has chosen to encourage her son’s skill by purchasing him different models of cars each month.

“And I hope it keeps him engaged in this hobby until he finds something new,” she added.

Apparently, her nephew is also a “smart and good kid.” However, he is unable to name the cars– which she claims is completely fine. After all, her nephew is good at other things.

While the kids were playing together, though, her nephew actually took one of her son’s toy cars. Then, when he was asked to give it back, he started crying and throwing a bit of a temper tantrum.

So her nephew ended up bringing the toy car home with him. And she claims that during the two times they have met up with her sister-in-law and nephew since then, her nephew has still refused to give the toy back.

Now, she pointed out how if her son was not bothered by the toy being missing, then she would have just left it at that. However, he kept begging her for that specific toy.

So, she ended up texting her sister-in-law a few times about it. And eventually, they got together again, and her sister-in-law was able to discreetly pass her the toy when her nephew was not looking.

This obviously made her son really happy, too, since he was ecstatic to have his toy back. Her son was also pretty compassionate toward her nephew and suggested that they give her nephew a different car to play with at the time.

She liked that idea but also added a condition that her son should not ask for the toy back after giving it away. And her son reportedly agreed with her.

Well, once the two boys started playing yet again, it became clear that her nephew still wanted her son’s toy– not the other car.

And according to her, all of her in-laws started ganging up on her son and telling him to give the original toy car back.

However, her son refused, and she kept telling her nephew to just play with the toy that was given to him in the first place.

“My whole issue with it is that I think we should teach our kids at a very young age not to take others’ stuff. When someone says no, you have to accept it,” she explained.

“They can easily buy a new one, but they kept expecting my child to give up his car because their child cried.”

She also claimed that her husband was absolutely not helping the situation, either. Instead, he actually began emotionally blackmailing her son!

Apparently, her husband started telling their son that unless he gave the toy back, then her husband would not speak to him anymore.

Afterward, her nephew’s grandfather also took the toy from her nephew and attempted to exchange it with her son’s car– all behind her son’s back. Her husband reportedly knew this was happening, though, and did nothing about it.

So, once her son eventually realized what was going on, you could imagine how he felt. He reportedly looked really defeated and betrayed and even started crying himself.

And by that point, she had had enough and decided to put her foot down. More specifically, she grabbed her son’s car from her nephew’s hands and handed it back to her son. Afterward, she also went online to order her nephew a new one.

She claims that the purchase did not stop her nephew from crying, though. Instead, he was seriously upset, and so was the rest of her family.

In fact, no one even spoke to her following the incident, and she claims that the whole atmosphere and vibe changed. Plus, when her family left, no one even bothered to say goodbye to her or her son.

“It’s not about the toy for me. It’s about the principle,” she vented.

Still, though, with everyone angry at her, she was left wondering whether snatching the toy car from her nephew’s hands was the wrong thing to do or not.
