This forty-eight-year-old woman and her Husband, who is forty-eight, currently have two children together– a son named Randy, who is twenty-two, and a Daughter named Eve, who is nineteen.

Back in elementary school, though, Eve was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). So, her daughter currently attends school online and can complete some basic tasks without assistance.

For the most part, though, she and her husband have to do most of the heavy lifting– including cooking, driving, and more.

“Eve recently started doing her own laundry, which we are very proud of her for. But it took like four years of learning and encouragement,” she explained.

“We love her and know that we will have to care for her.”

Anyway, one of her daughter’s major interests just so happens to be toys. Eve specifically loves dolls and tiny interactive animal toys. So, her daughter was super excited about Christmas.

This year, her family hosted a holiday celebration on the day of– which included her parents, her two sisters and their husbands, her fifteen-year-old niece, and her aunt and uncle.

And upon opening the gifts, both of her kids were ecstatic. Her son Randy received some games he had been wanting, as well as a new laptop to use for his classes next semester.

Eve was also beyond happy with her mix of gifts. Her daughter received some pajamas, dolls, a small dollhouse, and a few stuffed animals. Plus, Eve’s “big gift” was an interactive horse toy to care for, braid its hair, and more.

“Eve was overjoyed and played with it up until it was time for lunch,” she recalled.

During that time, she was also busy socializing and enjoying her own holiday fun. So, by the time lunch came around, she did not notice that her daughter had been seriously disrespected during the meal.

Well, one thing did tip her off about how some drama had occurred. Apparently, before everyone sat down for lunch, she noticed that her mother was looking over at her sister, Brianna, and her niece, Marissa as if the pair had done something wrong.

She did not think anything of it at the time, though, and simply helped her daughter grab a plate of food and sit down with a juice box. Then, she left the room to grab her own lunch helping.

After stepping out, though, she then heard some yelling before Eve burst into tears. So, she rushed back to the table and was immediately disgusted.

It turns out that her niece Marissa had called her daughter childish. Eve was also told that she needed to grow up and should not want to play with toys anymore.

Arguably the most disturbing part about this situation, though, was that both of her sisters actually agreed with her teenage niece!

Her niece did not just stop there, either. Instead, Marissa went on to tell Eve that she should be braiding her own hair instead of a toy’s fake hair.

Plus, Eve was told that she should be “making herself pretty” instead of trying to doll up a toy.

Now, her mother and father had overheard Marissa and Brianna talking about these terrible things earlier in the day.

And at the time, her parents reportedly tried to tell them they were being insensitive and would get into a lot of trouble if they ever told her, her husband, or Eve.

Obviously, though, it appears that Marissa just could not keep her mouth shut, and Eve ended up getting seriously upset on Christmas day.

Thankfully, her son Randy did pull Eve away from this situation and took her daughter upstairs to calm down.

Then, she was able to address the elephant in the room with the rest of her family.

She claims that she attempted to stay as calm as possible and explain for the millionth time how her daughter is autistic.

In turn, Eve’s brain functions differently– something that Marissa and Brianna just could not seem to understand.

“If you were with her daily, you would see that her toys actually help her learn social skills, regulate her emotions, and calm her down,” she explained to her family.

For whatever reason, though, her sister just could not accept what she was saying. In fact, Brianna actually accused her of “babying” her daughter too much by cooking Eve meals, buying her food and toys, and driving her everywhere.

Instead, Brianna claimed that she and her husband should “force” Eve to live on her own. Plus, her sister said that if Eve currently attends school, then “she is normal enough to live on her own.”

Brianna was apparently not alone in having this perspective, either. Instead, her other sister and brother-in-law even jumped in to defend Brianna– claiming that if she just “cut the cord,” then Eve would “learn how to survive.”

So, as you can imagine, she was beyond furious and told them to get out of her house. Moreover, she told her sisters and niece that she would never let them be around Eve ever again.

Now, her husband stood by her in that decision, as well as her father. Shockingly, though, her mom claimed that she took it too far by kicking her sisters and niece out of the house and forbidding them from seeing her daughter.

Honestly, though, she just cannot get over how much they hurt Eve.

“Luckily, she is still playing with her toys, so they didn’t seem to ruin her love of them. But she has been sad and crying all day,” she revealed.

“I just put her to bed and started crying myself once she wasn’t able to see me do it.”

But, with her mother’s comments still weighing heavy on her mind, she has been forced to reflect on her reaction. So now, she is wondering if kicking her family out on Christmas because they made rude comments to Eve was justified or if it made her a jerk.
