2 Years Ago This College Student Was Murdered By Her Boyfriend After She Told Him She Was Having His Baby And He Just Confessed

Oxford, Mississippi. Alexandria Kostial was a beautiful 21-year-old college student attending Ole Miss in Mississippi. Her friends and family members affectionately called her Ally. She had grown up in St. Louis.

Ally was working on finishing her Bachelor’s degree in marketing, while she attended summer classes at the college. She was on track to graduate in 2020.

She kept herself busy in the months leading up to graduation teaching university fitness classes. Ally also was in a sorority, called Alpha Phi, and was one of their founding members.

Ally also was the Ole Miss Golf Club president, so you could definitely tell she liked to stay active and social.

Ally was last seen in Oxford Mississippi on a Friday evening in July.

She can be seen on the video footage of a surveillance camera leaving a place called Funky’s bar right before midnight on July 19th, 2019.

She can be seen in the footage wearing blue shorts and a white top, while she looked down at her phone as if she might be texting someone.

Ally then came to a stop at a street corner and stood there for a few minutes. She had been waiting for her ride back home to her apartment.

Ally did end up returning home that Friday evening, and her roommates later confirmed that. Ally’s roommates told police that they heard Ally come into their apartment right around midnight.

Ally’s roommates never heard Ally leave again though that night, and the security footage is the very last time Ally was seen alive.

It’s not really clear if Ally was noticed as missing by her roommates, but it seems like her roommates didn’t notice given that they said they never heard or saw Ally leave.

The very next morning, police discovered Ally 20 miles away from campus, and she had been brutally murdered.

It was 10:30 in the morning on Saturday when deputies performing a routine patrol of a lake near Harmontown, Mississippi made a gruesome discovery.

Ally’s body was laying there near Sardis Lake, and she had been shot several times in the stomach and torso.

Although Sardis Lake is a remote area, it’s a popular recreational area for local residents and students from the college.

Fishing and ATV riding are the two things people do the most up in that area, and the lake water was very high on the Friday Ally was last seen out and the Saturday morning she was discovered.

Nobody was really out and about that weekend due to the high water.

“Still can’t believe this is real. I’m so grateful that I got to know Ally throughout high school and we shared so many memorable experiences at Ole Miss together,” Kassidy Desnoyer, Ally’s sorority sister, wrote about her on Facebook.

“From road tripping down to Oxford to being my Alpha Phi sister I will cherish all the memories we had together.”

“She was the brightest light and always had a smile on her face. She truly was a ray of sunshine. My heart and condolences go out to the Kostial family”

Anna Pasco, another friend of Ally’s, said to WMC-TV, “She quite possibly was the nicest human being that I’ve ever met. It’s just hard for me because all I can think about when I see her face is what she went through, what she was thinking, what she was saying.”

“It’s hard. She is a beautiful, beautiful person inside and out and I love her and I’m going to miss her forever.”

Ally’s friends clearly adored her and nobody had anything to say about this young college student with her whole life ahead of her.

Ally’s family has not said much, but Ally’s dad took to Facebook to share this about her:

“Yesterday, Saturday afternoon, we were visited by the Sunset Hills Police who communicated to us that our beautiful dear Alexandria (Ally) Kostial was the victim of a homicide. As of now, it is believed the crime happened in Lafayette County, MS.”

“She had been attending summer school and teaching fitness classes at University of Mississippi, (Ole Miss) In Oxford, Mississippi. She was a 2016 Lindbergh High School graduate. She was only 21. Investigations are ongoing.”

So who would want to murder such a vibrant and kind young woman?

Brandon Theesfeld, who was 22-year-old at the time, was quickly accused of Ally’s murder.

He was also Ally’s boyfriend, and Ally’s friends don’t have the same nice things to say about him that they have to say about Ally.

Brandon was studying business administration at Ole Miss and a year older than Ally. He and Ally started dating when she was a freshman, and they had an on-and-off relationship over the course of two years together.

Friends of Ally have called him a real jerk, and it gets far worse than that.

The relationship between Brandon and Ally was pretty volatile and explosive. According to friends, Brandon would fly into a rage and break things off with Ally, then beg her to take him back.

This happened multiple times.

He wouldn’t let up on her until she agreed to get back together with him. He was aggressive. He manipulated her.

Other friends say Brandon always looked angry, mad, pissed off, and frustrated when they saw him or interacted with him.

This was in stark contrast to Ally’s happy and bright personality.

Brandon was really controlling in regards to who Ally talked to or where she went or hung out with.

He also didn’t like Ally talking to other guys, so she really didn’t have any guy friends.

She was very close to a few girls and that was it. Brandon’s controlling nature was a big reason why she kept only a few of her friends close.

Ally’s friends maintain that the relationship between the two of them was always toxic. However, Brandon and Ally weren’t together at the time she told Brandon that she believed she was pregnant with his baby.

In fact, Brandon had moved on and was dating another girl when Ally told him this…

Ally told Brandon she believed she might be pregnant, and authorities suspect Brandon murdered her because of this.

An autopsy report would later reveal that Ally was not pregnant though, and an investigation uncovered the fact that Brandon had looked into pregnancy termination.

Brandon also had insisted to Ally that if they had a child, it would destroy the rest of his life after she shared the news with him.

Ally’s sorority sisters confirmed Brandon was in a rage-like mood the same day Ally was found dead, and they believe it’s because he finally found out and was not happy.

Rex Ravita, an Ole Miss student who also used to live next door to Brandon in the dorms, said he was completely “misogynistic” and “arrogant”.

Speaking to KMOV, he said this about Brandon: “Any type of vulgar comment he could say, any type of rude comment to anybody in our dorm, any of the women.”

“I truly believe that he manipulated her emotionally to have her believe that he loved her the same way she did, and I think he had her on the hook until the very last second.”

Brandon was arrested the Monday following the discovery of Ally while he was at a gas station.

He allegedly had blood on the clothes he was wearing, and police confirmed he did have a weapon in the truck he was driving.

“I know my son is innocent. And I have reasons to believe that I can’t share anything now,” Brandon’s dad said about him in a statement he issued to WLBT.

“But I would ask everybody to please give him the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.”

It’s now been over two years since Ally was murdered, and Brandon finally confessed to killing her after pleading not guilty.

As part of his plea deal, Brandon is no longer eligible for the death penalty and he will spend his life behind bars.

Brandon did not disclose his motive for murdering Ally, but he did try to offer up an apology in court to her family.

“I sincerely sorry for the pain I caused by taking Ally from you,” Brandon said, according to KSDK.

“I hope one day you can it in your heart to forgive me.”
