Pokemon Go gets a fancy update

Pokémon Go is an Augmented Reality game, and Apple has been busy making augmented reality better on iOS. Match made in heaven! This week, Niantic pushed out an AR+ update to take advantage of Apple’s ARKit, and it’s actually made some pretty cool changes. Instead of just tapping on floating Pokémon, the Pokes will appear fixed in the real world — they’ll appear small from far away and will get larger as you approach. But, getting too close to them could scare them into animated tall grass that you’ll need to coax them out of. Pokémon will actually appear like they’re standing on the ground now, too, instead of floating awkwardly — well, unless they’re flying Pokémon!
