SHOWINGS AND SUNDAY BIKE RIDES

A frequent question put to me these days is about showings of homes during the lockdown. I’ve done virtual showings (either via streaming with Duo or Facetime and also sending a video tour to a prospective buyer) but that isn’t different as I’ve taken those steps for years as often people looking to buy a lake home aren’t in the area and have busy schedules. In person showings are still happening. Sometimes people will show up with face masks on, sometimes not. Without fail the people selling have been accommodating and place wipes and hand sanitizer at the entrance.

It is May and the weather has mostly been A+. As a result today was my first day this week without appointments. Sunday Morning on the Central Lakes Trail before it fills up (many still apparently under the impression that it is a one way trail) with walkers, bikers, and skaters is my favorite time. As soon as the CBS Sunday Morning Moment in Nature finished, I was on my Bike and off to the trail for my own version.

My ride took me past Brophy Park and I decided to stop to take a look at the Mountain Bike Trails (if you are interested in a bike or events being planned, the guy to contact is Jake at Jake’s Bikes). The playground located between Lake Brophy and the mountain bike trails is fenced off because of the lockdown. There still are a number of picnic tables set in the hills and would make an attractive setting to have a picnic with your family this afternoon (the picture below was taken from one of the picnic tables). If a bike ride or walk on the trail to Brophy Park isn’t possible, there is plenty of parking available. Whatever you choose today, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my bike ride.
