As we enter our final week with Action Medical Research as our featured charity we take a look at what your donations will support:

Selecting the very best projects and research with the focus on the health of babies, children, and young people. The research funded by Action focuses on child health including problems affecting pregnancy, childbirth, babies, children and young people. Within this a broad spectrum of research with the objective of preventing disease and disability.

Donations have played a significant role in many medical breakthroughs, starting with the development of the first polio vaccines in the UK, later helping to develop the use of ultrasound in pregnancy and test the rubella vaccine – helping to save thousands of children’s lives and change many more.
