Dogs Trust

Since their inception, Dogs Trust have strived to create a better world where no Dog dies from unnecessary destruction, which is why they make sure to never put a healthy dog to sleep. Like many responsible dog owners across the UK, they see all the dogs in their care deserving of happiness as part of the family, which is something that carry’s through in everything they do.

It’s because of this shared mentality that Dogs Trust can do what they do best. Every year they rehome over 15000 dogs across their 21 state-of-the-art rehoming centres all over the UK. With a loyal supporter base and a shared love of our furry friends, Dogs Trust have become the largest canine welfare charity in the UK. You can find out more here.

As we approach the festive season, Dogs Trust asks people to remember one of its most famous slogans, ‘A Dog Is For Life, Not Just For Christmas’. Unfortunately, this slogan is still as poignant today as it was 40 years when first coined. As much as we love to see our pawfect pooches in loving homes, Dogs Trust staff must prepare for an influx of abandoned dogs over the Christmas period.

As well as providing round-the-clock care for new arrivals, the teams at Dogs Trust’s rehoming centres will be spending their Christmas Day looking after the hundreds of homeless hounds, ensuring they can enjoy the Christmas festivities as much as everybody else. For just £18 you can make sure one of these dogs can have a cosy bed to sleep in, whilst £20 can pay for all necessary vacations. Everyone wants to make sure their loved ones are fit and healthy, which is why for just £33 you can cover the cost of one of our dog’s weekly vet check.

It costs on average £40 a day to keep our dogs fit, fed, healthy and happy, and as a charity that receives no government funding it’s thanks to our amazing supporters through schemes like Giveacar that we can make sure we’re there for every dog that comes into our care.

Buying a new car can be a big decision for you to make; but getting rid of your old car doesn’t need to be. By donating your car today, you can help Dogs Trust pave the road for all dogs to have happier futures and help them find their forever homes.
