Cars, Credit Cards and Charities.  What is the link?

You may be thinking how purchasing a Vehicle on your Credit card could benefit a charity!

This relates to the section 75 of the new Consumer Credit Act, which states that the credit card provider must take the same responsibility as the retailer if things go wrong with a credit card purchase, costing between £100.00 and £30,000.00.

We have had many donations from customers via their credit card providers, who have recommended Giveacar to get rid of their purchased vehicle.

Just recently a charity benefited from a generous donation because of the section 75 credit card agreement, after a vehicle was purchased on a credit card, and developed faults, the credit card provider advised the customer to donate the vehicle through Giveacar, which raised a considerable sum for the Wales Air Ambulance.

Giveacar can take vehicles which will either be recycled or auctioned, and the money donated to a charity of the customer’s choice.  Vehicles accepted can also be non-runners.

Credit card providers support many charities, Macmillan Cancer Support, Oxfam, Prince’s Trust, Royal British Legion, Shelter to name a few.  Giveacar can donate money to any charity if they are registered in the UK or appear on the Charity Commission website.

HSBC, M&S Credit Card and Nationwide are a few of the credit card companies who have been kind enough to suggest to their customers to use Giveacar and by doing so many charities e.g.: Help for Heroes, Alzheimer’s Society, and Cancer Research UK have all benefited from these donations.
