Did you know that the SC Property Pros donate every year to help sponsor a Local Charity Organization called the James Island Vikings? The “Vikings” were originally a social club that started over six years ago on James Island and came together to raise money and race in the Charleston Dragon Boat Festival. After the first year and each year after the organization grew with more members, started hosting their own fundraisers, and began donating to more and more cancer organizations.

What fundraisers and charities you ask? They are now on their 4th Annual Bo’s Roast Chili Cookoff, which raises money for Camp Happy Days (“Kids Kickin’ Cancer”). Had their 3rd Annual Disc Golf Tournament to raise money for Movember (Men’s Cancer Organization), last November. On their 7th year of paddling in the Dragon Boat Festival and hopefully being the “Top Fundraising Team” for the 7th year in a row!

The reason we Love to help sponsor the James Island Vikings you might wonder..? Other than being a great organization that raises money for cancer related charities… Well its because not only are we sponsors but we are also members. Every employee at SC Property Pros is an active member with the organization. We love being part of such a great charity club and love to give back by sponsoring the team and club. To date we have raised nearly, if not over, $100,000 throughout the years.

Not only have the Vikings recently become a LLC but we were also joined by a “sister” club call the James Island Vi-Queens who also help raise money for and participate in these events. We also participate in the Folly Beach Christmas Parade, church yard sales and other fundraising activities throughout the year to help promote cancer awareness and who we are.
