A 12″ OD line with a number of dead nozzles was experiencing severe internal wall loss. Since it was a diesel line, with an operating pipe temperature was of 375 F, solutions were limited. Because of the difficult geometry, the end user decided to use NRI’s conformable, cold welding products to repair the line while in operation.
