PVC Pipes are used for all the plumbing purpose in the houses. Due to its reasonable cost, it is used for a lot of purposes instead of copper or steel pipes. It is made of rigid, plastic material and thus needs to be used very carefully. It gets crack easily causing a leakage in the Pipe. You can use the following instructions to fix the PVC Leak without cutting out:
- The first step is to find out where the leakage is. Sometimes the leak is not visible easily, so find it to fix the leak.
- After inspecting about the location of the leak, shut down the water from the main valve.
- Now start the process of fixing by sealing all the opening of the pipe. Leave one leak open which will be used as a vacuum. Now fix the vacuum to the plumbing system.
- Ones you attach the vacuum to the plumbing system, start running the vacuum. There will be some suction taking place through the leak. Now place the brush which is dipped in the PVC primer at the opening of the leak. As the vacuum pulls the primer into the leak, the vacuum shuts off immediately.
- Now as done with the PVC primer, repeat the same process for the PVC glue also. Keep in mind to shut the vacuum immediately as the glue is pulled, so that there is no glue out of the leak.
- Now let the glue dry and set up for a while and repeat the same process if there are any other leaks.
Following this process will enable you repair the leak on your own and save a lot of money and time.
