After a year of streamlining operations and expanding Manufacturing, Environmental Packaging Technologies Inc. (EPT) emerges in 2012 as a manufacturer poised for significant expansion.

Internal assessments during 2011 resulted in the reorganization of EPT’s Production and operations to more appropriately mirror its customers’ needs and to meet global economics.  Keeping up with its increasing sales demands of the Big Red Flexitank, caused EPT to reassess its production in 2011 and prepare for a manufacturing expansion months ahead of the planned schedule.

Now 12 months later and double its prior manufacturing capacity, EPT is producing its widely heralded technology innovation – the BIG Red Flexitank, more cost effectively for price sensitive commodities.   The proprietary manufacturing system which has the flexibility to allow for uninterrupted, in-line customization such as bag size, number and placement of valves, vent lines and air vents, allows EPT to continue to meet customer specific requirements needed to safely and cost-effectively contain their products.  “2012 will be a significant year for EPT” noted Shane Sims, its President and Chief Technology Officer, “in addition to increased production capacities; we will be introducing several new products during the coming months.”

The upswing in new business has also spurred expansion of EPT’s Rotterdam office to a new facility with warehouse capacity in excess of 4000 tanks which is based in the Port of Rotterdam, Waalhaven District. In Central America, EPT’s partner, Euromex Logistical Internacional & Top Traders, Inc. has opened new depots in to meet the growing demand of Big Red Flexitanks in the palm oil and latex markets of the region.

Being the first operator to establish a flexitank presence in Russia, EPT and has used its diverse range of products to develop both liquid and dry bulk markets. With its unique “Swept Bar” rail bulkhead system, the company has obtained rail approvals for a diverse range of products and EPT Russia continues to specialize in cross country transportation using the Russian Rail network.
