My Favorite productivity tool fixes your brain

Have you heard of [email protected]?

It’s become my favorite Productivity tool. I’m surprised by how much I like it.

Basically, it’s special Music that re-arranges your brain and forces you to focus .

Ok, I may not have the science right.

They do say something about AI and neuroscience on their website…

But it does seem to work. At least for me.

And this nifty chart shows the effects their music has on attention spans.

I’ve always been an advocate for working in time blocks. It’s something I first learned many moons ago when I was studying for the CPA exam.

Back then, I used to study in 90-minute blocks. Today, I tend to work in 33-minute blocks (I hear that’s how the legendary copywriter Gene Schwartz did it).

I don’t think the duration is that critical – pick something long enough to get something done but short enough that you can concentrate and not burn out.

Anywho…

Combining the Focus@Will music with time-blocks is like having Emeril Lagasse in your kitchen – things are going to get kicked up a notch.

They have several different genres of music to listen to. There’s also a quick little quiz – sort of a mini personality test – that will recommend a genre for you.

You can set your timer right in the app. The music will stop and “ding” once the timer is up.

You also have the option of recording how productive you feel you were during each session. This allows you to track your productivity over time.

Personally, I like to listen using headphones. I feel like I’m “in the zone” when I do.

They have a free trial, and right now all of their plans are half price due to COVID.

Give it a try. I think it will be one of your favorite productivity boosters as well.
