Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge project completed

This model has been built and designed to be a French vessel from around the 1700's. Notwithstanding the 'rumors' about 40 guns, she's equipped with 26 guns ready for battle with a couple of more spares in the hold.

She's carrying battle sail and has a mounted warrior figurehead.  Her mizzen carries a large lateen sail as was common for the period. Ramheads are holding up the lower yards, decorations are typical French continental.

Her origins are taken to be French or Dutch built for the French and she's flying the familiar Blackbeard flag, even though there's a good argument the design may be relatively modern.

All in all I would think Edward Teach would be pleased to 'own' a larger version of this vessel, much is left to speculation about the specifics on his vessel, but she is true to a French vessel (small frigate) of the period.
