Project: The USS Niagara of 1813

A commission for a Model of the Great Lakes brig Uss Niagara of 1813 is well on the way. She has been pieced together from contemporary vessels, the centennial replica of 1913 and the current re-designed full size replica.

The first design is my interpretation of what she could have looked like in 1813. The second design is as she was re-built for the current full scale sailing replica. The third version depicts her as she was designed for her restoration for the 1913 centennial celebration. The vessel that was actually built in 1913 already deviated substantially from this design.

3D hull design for the USS Niagara, only the geometry required for creating the model is designed.

Water and deck lines of the half-breadth plan, or in this case a full-breadth plan.

Overall and sail plan as intended for the model.
