American Eagle’s TikTok Campaign Is the First Time the Platform Directs to an External Site for Purchases

American Eagle is the latest retailer to use Tiktok as part of its marketing campaign. This is the company’s first campaign that involves TikTok, a social application that uses videos. The campaign also includes a brand takeover and a hashtag challenge. Most importantly, it features the beta test for the latest ad unit for TikTok. This is an in-feed video and badge.

The new format also marks the first time that a TikTok ad will bring users to a website outside of TikTok for their purchases.
