When in-store, 69 percent of shoppers would rather look at product reviews on their phone as opposed to asking an associate for help. When it comes to asking about promotions, 53 percent would use their phones. To supplement the reliance on smartphones when shopping, 49 percent of people have an app for discounts and deals. Some 65 percent of shoppers place heavy importance on the ability to use in-store coupons.
